The upper control arms from DMCH are NOS with rubber bushings. I think the original intent of stocking the upper arms with bushings preinstalled was that if you wore out the bushings you would just replace the whole arm. I've replaced my UCA bushings with poly, and I don't think it was worth the trouble.

Jun 21, 2010robby. Make sure the lower control arm is supported. The shock acts as the suspension travel limiter and will load the bolt if the control arm is free hanging. Allow the arm to fully drop and then apply the slightest lifting force to unload the bolt. Re-install the nut enouph to protect the threads from the hammer.

Jun 23, 2015A tie rod pickle fork should work on the upper control ball joint as that upper joint isn't much bigger than the tie rod joint. You'll end up destroying the grease boot with the pickle fork, so might be a good idea to remove and replace it (the grease boot) with a new one and pack it with fresh grease.
